David Hinds received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from West Texas A&M University and his Master of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas. He has taught band and orchestra on the high school and middle school levels in Amarillo, Texas and is currently the orchestra director at Mann Middle School in Amarillo. He plays trumpet in the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra. He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Orchestra Directors Association. David has been involved with region band and orchestra activities in Amarillo and is currently the Orchestra Division Chair for Region I. He has composed and arranged music for his school groups throughout his career.
