Description:

The elements used to create this piece came from diverse sources, including fragments of a Russian folk melody and a Jewish text found on cellar walls in Germany. However, the message is absolutely universal hope and beliefs held firm will eventually reign victorious over the greatest of odds, be they prejudice, hate, or even fear of death. This is a song of HOPE. A brief narration helps inform audiences of the profound impact of the text. Limited range. Ample unison. Most accessible. Extremely effective. Also available for SATB (15/1085).
