Cantate Domino was composed for SATB chorus and two oboes, two Trumpets in C, Timpani, two violins, viola, cello and bass. Although there is no date given for the composition, the first date listed for a performance of this work (in a long list of performance dates included in the set of parts) is given as 1834.
