Ed Hogan earned a degree from Florida State University, where he studied music education and composition. He was a high school band director for eleven years before founding EHF Productions, a full‑service music and audio production company. His earliest publications were marching band arrangements for the Hal Leonard Corporation, but for over twenty years he has been exclusively involved with every aspect of the production of church music.
Ed has worked with most major church music publishers, doing choral arranging, anthem orchestrations, instrumental solo and small ensemble books, full‑orchestra arrangements, and hymnal orchestrations. He does Finale engraving and has produced many recordings of church music projects. He was Instrumental Product Developer for Lillenas for fifteen years and frequently serves as a clinician at reading sessions, workshops, and conferences.
Ed is an ordained elder in his home church, King's Chapel Presbyterian, and is Director of Worship. Ed and his wife, Carol, live in Carrollton, Georgia. They have two daughters—Katie, married to Joel Pollard, and Caroline. Katie and Joel have given them two beautiful grandchildren, Sam and Evie.
